Nick Cave (born in Fulton, MO in 1959), an American, is a performance artist, a Fabric Sculptor, an educator and foremost a Messenger, which makes him and the art he produces, in perfect harmony as we are curating a Mercurial day in our calendar of posts. Well known for his Soundsuits [Soundsuit 1, 2009-2011] sculptural forms scaled upon his own body, he sees them a perfect ‘camouflage’ for teaching the purpose of diversity, a second skin that conceals race, gender and class, forcing the viewer to look without judgment, possibly reaching many, who in this world show extrenous needs for enlightenment or ‘refreshing course’ in that art-of-love, which consist in accepting others.
